The first meeting of the Sisterhood year is September 1, 2011 at noon at the Temple.  It is a pot luck luncheon for all members who have paid their dues of $18.00.  Every female Temple member should have, unless I accidently left someone out, received a letter inviting them to join Sisterhood.  If you did not receive a letter I apologize and please come to our first meeting and join us. 

 The Sisterhood exists to build and support friendships within the female Temple community, to support the Temple with events, both sacred and secular, and fund raising and to represent the Temple in a positive manner in our community.  All women are welcome to join in these endeavors.

Over the past six years the Sisterhood has donated in work done or in cash over $25,000.00 to the Temple.  That is a tremendous accomplishment.  Ladies, you have every reason to be very proud of yourselves and your Sisterhood.  This is in addition to over $1,000.00 per year we donate to charities both here and in Israel.

In order to continue to be as generous as we have been we will be looking at some new fund raising ideas this year.  This is in addition to our usual outstanding Break-Fast at the Session house following the Yom Kippur service, Passover, hosting the Temple Hanukkah party and the most important weekly Onegs.
